Electric Vehicles coming in 2021
The electrification is here to stay. In the coming years, nearly all the car companies will release at least one electric model.
Due to this years pandemic many manufacturers have postponed the launch of various EVs. Below, follows the list of the electric vehicles coming in 2021.
Audi e-tron GT 2021
The production of the 2021 Audi e-tron GT model is set to begin at the end of 2020. Although we are not yet sure when it will be available, the upcoming EV will enter Audi’s lineup as a 2021 model. Price is expected to be around 88,000€.
BMW i4
The BMW i4‘s production will start sometime in 2021, and go on sale later the same year. While BMW hasn’t announced official pricing, the expected price is to start somewhere near 43,000€.
BMW iNext
The German automaker is yet to announce the official price and release date for the iNext. However, it’s expected to be available in 2021 with prices anywhere from 77,000€-110,000€. This will depend on the specifications.
BMW iX3
The BMWiX3 is an electric version of the X3 SUV model. The upcoming EV will start at around 68,000€ in the Premier Edition trim. BMW’s electric SUV is available for pre-orders now. However, deliveries will start in 2021.
Dacia Spring
Dacia Spring Electric will be available in the first half of 2021. With a range of more than 200 km WLTP this is a perfect car for urban and suburban use. Even though prices are yet to be confirmed, in order to become Europe’s most affordable EV will have to undercut the 19,138€ price tag after the incentives.
Lightyear One
Lightyear has unveiled the first prototype of the Lightyear One. This electric vehicle is covered in solar panels. We expect deliveries to start in 2021 and the starting price at 149,000€.
Lotus Evija
Lotus Evija as many other car launches have pushed back until the middle of 2021. The price of the hyper-car EV will be 1,780,000€
Lucid Air Dream Edition
The American automotive company, has announced four versions of the Air to be released at various times in 2021 and 2022. To start with, around the second quarter of 2021, the Air Grand Touring and the Air Dream Edition will be available at a pre-incentive price of 117,818€ and 143,246€, respectively.
Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS
The Mercedes-Benz EQS luxury sedan, will go into production in 2021. We should expect it between Fall-Winter 2021. An SUV version of the EQS, the EQS SUV, coming in 2022. Estimated price 93,300€.
Nissan Arija
Nissan is expanding their EV line with the 2022 Ariya SUV, which will go on sale in the U.S. in 2021. It is expected to be available in Europe at the end of 2021 beginning of 2022. The starting price will be around 33,900€.
Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo
Porsche has also delayed the launch of its Taycan Cross Turismo until 2021 because of robust demand for the regular electric vehicles during the pandemic. The price will likely start at 95,000€.
Renault Twingo Z.E
The Renault Twingo Z.E city car will be available for orders from the fourth quarter of 2020 and will be delivered in spring 2021. Price is expected to be around 24,800€
Seat el-Born
The production of the Seat el-Born model has started this year and the first deliveries are expected in June 2021. Estimated price 45,000€
