Ultra Low Emission Zone in London is Now Active
At the beginning of the week, London activated the ultra-low emission zone (ULEZ). This is something that has been discussed for so long and is finally here.
From now on, to enter the ULEZ, you need to have a min. Euro6 compliant engine. However, if the engine does not meet this standard, and is less than 3.5 tonnes, you will enter the zone at the price of £12.50 for each entry. If the vehicle is more than 3.5 tonnes, the charge is £100. You can find out if your vehicle meets the emissions standards required through Transport For London.

As air pollution is currently a significant challenge London is facing, the activation of the ultra-low emission zone is a big step to a cleaner and healthier environment for the big city.
Finally, this not only helps to improve the air we breathe but will also encourage more people to choose electric vehicles, to use the bicycle or walk more.
