Adapter CHAdeMO for USA Tesla model is specifically for the North American and Japanese versions of these vehicles. This adapter is specifically designed for Model S, Model X and Model 3. For Model S without Supercharging enabled, onboard hardware must be activated to use the CHAdeMO adapter. Every new Model S or Model X is already Supercharging enabled.
2019.24.1 firmware or later is required for Model 3 compatibility.

How to use adapter CHAdeMO for USA Tesla model:
EV+ recommends to use the following steps:
1. Plug in the adapter CHAdeMO end of the cable to the charging station
2. Plug in the Type 2 end of the cable to the car’s charging socket
3. After the cable has clicked in place you are ready for the charge*
*Don’t forget to activate the charging station
When you finish with the charge, disconnect the vehicle side first and then the charging station side. Always remove the cable from the charging station when not in use.
Status light
Under normal conditions when the CHAdeMO adapter is receiving power from the charging station, its green LED lights up. During charging, the LED flashes green.
Resolving faults
If your Tesla vehicle fails to charge when using the CHAdeMO adapter, check the display on your Tesla vehicle for information about any error that may have occurred. Always check the status of the charging station. Although the CHAdeMO adapter is designed to work with all CHAdeMO charging stations, it may be incompatible with some models.
How to store:
The charging adapter is the lifeline of your electric vehicle and is important to keep it protected. Store the adapter in a dry place preferably a storage bag. Moisture in the contacts will result in the cable not working. If this happens place the cable in a warm and dry place for 24 hours. Avoid leaving the cable outside where the sun, wind, dust, and rain can get to it. Dust and dirt will result in the cable not charging. For longevity, ensure that your charging cable is not twisted or excessively bent during the storage.
This product is very easy to use and store. The cable is designed for both outdoor and indoor charging and it has IP54 (Ingress Protection). This means that it has protection from dust and splash of water from any direction.
