2020 Zero SR/S Electric Motorcycle
The e-mobility industry is experiencing big growth, as electric vehicles (EVs) becoming more and more popular. This doesn’t exclude electric motorcycles.
For a long time, manufacturers like Zero are making electric motorcycles and scooters. This year, 2020 Zero SR/S is making its debut.
The Zero SR/S is coming in two versions, the standard and the premium.
Zero SR/S Standard Version Specifications
The SR/S Standard has a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) and an electric range 322 km (200 mi) with Power Tank. The Cityrange is 259 km (161 mi) and 159 km (99 mi) on the highway. This is achieved by a sustained 89 km/h (55 mi)
The electric motorcycle is powered by a single, air-cooled, permanent-magnet motor that produces 110 hp and 190 Nm (140 ft-lb of) torque. Also, power and torque are user adjustable from the Zero Next Gen app.
A 3.0 kW on-board charger gives a 100% charge in 4.5 hours and a 95% charge in 4 hours. Additionally, there is the option for faster charging with a 6 kW Rapid Charge. This charging option will give a 100% charge in 1.8 hours.
Zero SR/S Premium Version Specifications
The SR/S Premium has a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) and an electric range 322 km (200 mi) with Power Tank. Similarly, as the Standard version, the Premium gives a City range of 259 km (161 mi) and 159 km (99 mi) on the highway. This is achieved by a sustained 89 km/h (55 mi). With a higher speed, the electric range drops quicker. Horsepower is the same art 110 and 190 Nm (140 ft-lb of) torque.
A 6.0 kW on-board charger gives a 100% charge in 2.5 hours and 95% charge in 2 hours. However, there is the option for faster charging that achieves a 100% charge in just 1.5 hours.
Ultimately the SR/S is another generational leap forward for electric motorcycles.
